Tonle Bati resort and temple is a small lake about 30 km south of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It is a popular weekend destination for the local population. It is also a popular fishing spot for both tourists and people who live locally.
Tonle Bati is a popular resort and temple, lake and picnic area that has bamboo shacks built out over the water that people can rent out for eating food, drinking, playing card, and whiling away the day. It's generally a weekend get-away spot, which means it is a nice and quiet place during the week days.
Locals swim there, but the water does not look real inviting. There are all kinds of food and drinking stands that sell everything you need for a picnic along the lake.
There are tours that follow you when you arrive on weekends and try to get you to go to their own place. It's a best to pass right by them and find a spot on your own. Check prices beforehand on everything? They are famous for handing you an outrageously high bill when you depart.
Tonle Bati is a place of worship and features two ancient temples, Prasat Ta Promh Temple and Prasat Yeay Peov Temple, and a pagoda called Wat Tonle Bati, which was built in 1576.

Koh Ker Temple is a remote archaeological site in northern Cambodia about 120 kilometres (75 mi) away from Siem Reap Province, Cambodia and It was the ancient site of Angkor. Koh Ker Temple is the modern name for an important city of the Khmer empire, and was the capital of the Khmer empire for a very brief period from the year 928 to 944 AD. In inscriptions the town is mentioned as Lingapura means the city of shiva lingams or Chok Gargyar, sometimes translated as city of glance, sometimes as iron tree forest.
In this short time some very spectacular buildings and immense sculptures were constructed. The site is dominated by Prasat Thom, a 30 meter (98 ft) tall temple pyramid rising high above the surrounding jungle. A giant Garuda (mythical half-man, half-bird creature), carved into the stone blocks, still guard the very top, although its partially covered now. Left to the jungle for nearly a millennium, Koh Ker Temple was one of Cambodia’s most remote and inaccessible temple destinations. This has now changed thanks to recent de-mining and the opening of a new toll road. It is a very jungle filled region that is sparsely populated cover on the area of more than 180 sanctuaries were found in a protected area of 81 square kilometres or 31 sq/mi. Only about two dozen monuments can be visited by tourists because most of the sanctuaries are hidden in the forest and the whole area is not fully demined.
